I design gardens and landscapes using locally native species. I strive to design outdoor spaces that offer maximum support of local ecosystems while serving the needs of land users.

I marry the naturalistic, low-maintenance planting style of New Perennialism with deep ecological knowledge informed by my experiences as a gardener, ecologist, and environmental restoration technician in Minnesota. I’m a Blue Thumb partner practicing planting for clean water, and a proud supporter of the Homegrown National Park movement. I value other local businesses and offer a 10 percent design discount for Whole Foods Co-op owners.

I’m based in Duluth, MN, where I volunteer as a Master Gardener and Master Naturalist. These two programs promote horticultural and environmental knowledge among Minnesotans, and require me to complete regular volunteer hours and specialized training. Plus, they’re a fun way to connect with my community!

In 2026, I became a Certified Professional with the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA). MNLA certification includes a rigorous examination of general industry knowledge, as well as an examination within my specialty field of Landscape Design. Certification is reciprocally recognized by nursery and landscape associations in 11 other states.
